How To Make A Sparkler Bomb In A Bottle

Instructions:

Step1
Grab one of the bottle caps and drill a hole through it, using a drill or a screwdriver. Make sure a sparkler stick can fit into the hole.
Step2
Get the other bottlecap. Fold an A4 piece of paper in half vertically. Breakup or crumble the sparkler sticks onto the paper. Leave one. (You'll see why later)
Step3
Slowly slide the "sparkler dust" into the bottlecap (the one without the hole). Do this until the bottlecap is slightly over filled.
Step4
Place the other bottle cap (one with the hole) onto the other one so both open ends meet (with the bottlecap with the hole on top).
Step5
Tape up any spaces you can see using the electric tape (excluding the drilled hole in the bottlecap).
Step6
Put the left over sparkler stick into the drilled hole in the bottle cap (with the metal bit sticking out on top).
Step7
Tape up the hole with only a maximum of 2 layers of tape.
Step8
Light the top of the sparkler stick and make sure it lights (you will know when it sparks up). After this, you should run away to a safe distance which would be about 3 metres away depending on the size of the sparkler bomb.

Tips & Warnings

* Use grey sparkler party sticks not other coloured ones.
* Always make sure the bottlecaps are tightly sealed together
* It's a good idea to stay beyond a 2 - 5 metre radius when the wick (sparkler stick) has been lit
* Because this is a "sparkler bomb" it may be very dangerous and may create flames! So be sure to have water/extuinguisher with you and make sure that nothing around the sparkler bomb is flammable.
* Do not add other materials to the sparkler bomb
* Do not inhale the fumes produced by the sparkler bomb as they are VERY toxic.

  1. I think that bottle sparklers can brighten up a bar or party because of its different colors.
